What We Believe
There's an old saying, "what goes around, comes around", and we believe that's a pretty fair statement of things! To put it crudely we basically think that you get back what you put out!
There are obviously many different ideas and arguements about this area of 'reaping what you sow', but there does seem to be a prevailing theme that runs throughout that the way you behave does in some way seem to determine the way in which you are treated by others.
However, there almost feels as though there is a 'negative' connotation to that way of looking
at it - somehow these 'sayings' seem to imply that you have already done something 'unsavoury' for someone to be 'preaching' at you in this way!
Semantics of course, but the point being that there is something to be said for treating others the way you would like to be treated yourself. Totally aside from anything, you tend to feel better about yourself if you do!
We also believe that if those of us who are interested in really making the world a better place, (after all, most of us agree that there needs to be some pretty dramatic improvements), work together we can build a force of positive actions that can then sweep across the four corners of the earth and truly have real impact and bring about real and lasting change.
And so ultimately we believe that, in the vast majority, every man, woman and child on this planet wants things to go well and would like to see honest improvements in the way things are (not political hype or 'spin').
So our mission is to acknowledge and promote those people who ARE doing really something honest and true to help build a better world, who are working to make life as good for others as possible, and who are basically doing something about it.
Because we believe that by giving our support to these individuals who come from all walks of life, from all cultures, religions and nations, we make them stronger, and that in turn enables them increase their own power and scope and so the movement grows. |
